decided to post an entry cos apparently my godpa n i were having this random conversation on e car juz now which set me thinking. it all sparked off with him buying cigarettes and comparing prices, then my usual nagging at him to stop smoking, but this time i was juz telling him straight tt it is best not to smoke, so u dun spend at all. then we digressed to not having children n a family and therefore no stress...
well then he simply said, "no children no family's the best, then i can be a millionare." (i do not doubt his abilities at all to become one at all for he's quite close to being one alr) n the difference about it this time (he made this statement numerous times, or somewhere close) was that i rebutted subconciously by saying, "wat's the use when u hav no love in ur life, no one to share wif?" those words came outta my mouth even b4 i could stop to rethink wat i was about to say. the next few moments were juz greeted by silence b4 godpa said, "ya... that's true..."
e shocking thing bout this incident was my sudden and yet subtle rebuttal which shocked even myself. i wouldn't hav done tt in e past. seriously. i think my mindset n emotions hav taken a huge turning pt upon getting into a relationship. somehow the more compassionate and sentimental side of me has begun to surface, n it's more evident this time; if given a choice whether i wanna be a billionare living in solitude or a simple man wif a family, i will choose the latter. but if it was mi 2 months back, i would've chosen the former. how fast things change huh.
i'm quite glad actualli, cos it's not tt i've lost the drive to pursue greater heights in life, it's juz tt i've learnt to be more contented wif wat i haf. thanx esther. =)
